BSZ: Why you decided to come to Czech Republic?
Lamin:
I love travelling! So when I saw it published on our mailing system that there exist an exchange program with Tomas Bata University, I did some little digging and later on decided that it will be a great to experience education outside of my comfort zone and also to see how other students half way around live and learn!

BSZ: What was your first opinion about Zlin? Has it changed after you got to know it better?
Lamin:
Are the people friendly? (I expected my skin color to be a challenge). Yes, it did changed just within the first few weeks I was there, the people turn out to be sweet and welcoming especially my co-erasmus students and of course the friends I made there.

BSZ: What was the best place you have visited in Czech Republic?
Lamin:
Prague! <3 Absolutely one of the most beautiful and artistic city I have ever visited. It is amazing how everything is new but still looks old…. 

BSZ: In which faculty you were studying here? How did you like it?
Lamin:
Faculty of Applied Informatics and Faculty of Management and Economics. It was a wonderful 4 months of attending lectures and seminars. Both sessions are always very interactive.

BSZ: What is the best thing about the Erasmus experience for you?
Lamin:
The many amazing people I got to know and share memorable moments together, the different cultures showcased during the “country presentations” and also the opportunity to actually visit other European countries all made up the best moments of my Erasmus.

BSZ: What you have learnt about yourself during your Erasmus?
Lamin:
I learnt that I am no different than anyone else!

BSZ: What advice you wished you had received before your exchange?
Lamin:
To be free and not feel caged in between white folks! Heheheh…..

BSZ: How Buddy System Zlin helped you, while you were here?
Lamin:
Buddy system Zlin basically made my trip worth it for! They are always there to render assistants whenever I need it especially to my personal Buddy Dayana, thank you for making my stay a good one….

BSZ: Is there anything else you want to share?
Lamin:
Amazingly enough I got to get myself a backup career (modeling), attached are shoots I did with my Czech friends Barunka Gajova (photographer) and Adela Nevrla (model) who are both studying at Tomas Bata University and also a commercial video I did for Tomas Bata University during the latter days of my studies. To all of you I hope you all do enjoy your Erasmus as much as I did and Please do try it all (I mean everything).
